FAQs

How do I book?

Most people start with a phonecall or Zoom call first to ask any questions they have, or if you prefer you can book straight in. You are welcome to go away and think about it or we can book you your first session.

Can I claim on my pet insurance?

Yes my qualifications are recognised by pet insurance companies and vets (Full Member of the APBC Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors, and registered CAB Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the ABTC Animal Behaviour Training Council).

My vet referred me to you. Why do you work with vets?

It’s a requirement of the professional bodies I am affiliated with. This is because medical issues contribute to a large proportion of behaviour issues. I need to be aware of your dog’s medical history when I am designing a treatment plan. I may also advise you discuss some of my observations with your vet. I organise the referral for you and you will be contacted by your vet for permission to share your dog’s records.

How quickly can you fix my dog?

I aim to provide as much immediate improvement as possible, but resolving complex behaviour issues can take several months depending on the individual dog and their environment. I provide support to ensure you are guided through your training plan and see results. The most successful clients are always those who are consistent, and dedicate the time needed to see a change in their dog.

Where do the in person sessions happen?

At your home or another suitable location depending on what we’re working on. For example if you were working on exercises to help your dog stay calm around other dogs we may agree to meet in a park or field.
